Regulations for Undergraduate Dissertations

The aim of the Undergraduate Dissertation is to familiarize students with scientific methodology and provide hands-on research experience; absolute originality is not a prerequisite.
The composition of an undergraduate dissertation is optional. Students may undertake an  undergraduate dissertation  (of 10,000-30,000 words) from the sixth semester of studies onwards. The  undergraduate dissertation corresponds to (and may substitute for) two (2) courses, namely one Compulsory Elective and one Free Elective, in the same subject field as the the topic of the undergraduate dissertation. The topic of the  undergraduate dissertation  is set by a member of staff, who will supervise the work. The undergraduate dissertation  is examined by the supervisor and another member of staff.
